IF WISHES WERE....

So I am a bit behind. My intentions are always far ahead of what I actually can accomplish. So this was meant to be posted a month or so ago. So here we go...

One of the greatest things about being a mom is being able to live through the eyes of my children. I love to live through my children's imaginations!

It was past 11pm. Brinley had not gone to bed yet due to taking a late nap. I was about to take her to bed when I looked outside and noticed how bright it was. I got all excited and told her to come look. We both went outside to see what was the cause of this phenomenon. We soon realized that it was the moon, full and incredibly bright. This is when my mind morphed into that of a three year old.

"Hey Brinny, I got a great idea. It is a secret surprise adventure!"

She waited anxiously while I gathered all of the supplies needed for this particular secret surprise adventure. We went back outside and I quickly spread out the blanket and laid out the pillows. It didn't take long for her to realize what I was up to. The excitement was written all over her face. It literally shown in her eyes. These are the moments I live for! So we proceeded to lay down and snuggle under the blankets. It was a beautiful (almost fall) night. The sky was totally clear. Not only was the moon glowing, the stars were as well. We laid there talking and singing silly songs. After a few minutes of this, despite her best efforts she was starting to fade. We laid there in silence for a few minutes. Just when I thought she was asleep I here this;

"I wish, I wish, on that star for a tea party table and tea party stuff!"

I kept quiet hoping she would continue. She waited for a few seconds and said,

"Mom, where is my tea party stuff?"

She truly believed that it would literally fall from the sky! How amazing is this sense of thinking?

If it were as easy as this. If we could just wish upon the stars and have all of our dreams and wishes fall right from the sky. If our minds could only think this simply, even if this is not realistic. It would be kind of nice to be able to revert to our toddler selves, ecspecially in times like these! And that is about as sappy as I get!

BIG FIRE, SMALL TOWN!

For those of you who don't know (isn't it cute that I post these as if people really look at them)? I live in a small hick-town. Well this past weekend it was an inferno!! Check out these awesome, incredible, beautiful, amazing, awe-inspiring photos I took!!!!

TIM ROCKS!!!

FRIDAY NIGHT ROCKED! I KNOW THAT FOR THE MOST PART THIS BLOG HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO MY BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRLS BUT I DEEM THIS WORTHY OF BLOG POSTING. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME, KNOW TIM MCGRAW. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW TIM MCGRAW, KNOW ME. I HAVE BEEN A TIM FAN SINCE THE "MULLET YEARS." UNLIKE ME HE HAS IMPROVED WITH AGE. I HAD BRINLEY IDENTIFYING HIM AS "SEXY" AT AN EARLY AGE. THIS YEAR HE WAS AT THE USANA WITH JASON ALDEAN. WHO IS EXTREMELY CUTE. CHECK HIM OUT IF YOU HAVE NOT. FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO MEET UP WITH A FAN ALMOST AS CRAZY AS ME. OUR LOVE FOR TIM BROUGHT US TOGETHER AND WE HAVE BEEN CLOSE FRIENDS EVER SINCE. THE GREAT THING ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP (OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT SHE TOTALLY WORSHIPS ME FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, AND BECAUSE I AM THE BIGGER , IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE, TIM FAN.) ANYWAY, THE GREAT THING ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP IS THAT NEITHER ONE OF US WILL SETTLE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN FRONT ROW. SPOILED HUH? I ONLY ADMIT THIS BECAUSE THIS IS ABOUT THE ONLY THING THAT I AM SPOILED ABOUT. THIS YEAR WE ACTUALLY HAD FIFTH ROW TICKETS BUT WE RUSHED TO THE STAGE THE MINUTE WE COULD AND WE WERE RIGHT UP TO THE STAGE THE WHOLE SHOW. THE PICTURES THAT I AM GOING TO POST COULD BE FAR MORE AND FAR BETTER, HOWEVER...

THERE IS ONE DRAW BACK TO BEING A "SERIOUS AMATEUR" PHOTOGRAPHER. MY CAMERA IS EASILY RECOGNIZED BY SECURITY. LAST YEAR AT TIM'S CONCERT I GOT MORE PICTURES ONLY BECAUSE THEY CAUGHT ME HALF WAY THROUGH THE CONCERT. THIS YEAR THEY CAUGHT ME RIGHT OFF. I EVEN ARGUED THE POINT THAT THE ONLY THING POSTED IS NO VIDEO. IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CAMERAS, PROFESSIONAL, OR OTHERWISE. I STOPPED ARGUING WHEN I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CONVISCATE MY CAMERA AND KICK ME OUT OF THE SHOW. I KEPT TRYING TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER BY TELLING MYSELF THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED IT WHERE I WAS STANDING ALL NIGHT ANYWAY. BUT OH BUDDY, THE PICTURES I COULD HAVE GOTTEN WOULD HAVE BEEN SO AWESOME. TIM WAS GREAT, SLEEVELESS AND BEAUTIFUL. HE SIGNED A PICTURE OF MY KIDS AND AS SOON A HE DID THIS I RAN BACK TO MY SEAT GRABBED MY CAMERA AND STARTED FIRING OFF SHOTS WHILE HE WAS SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS. SO THE ONLY PICTURES I GOT WAS HIM SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS. THIS IS DEFINETLY BETTER THAN NOTHING.

ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NIGHT WAS GETTING TO MEET TWO INCREDIBLE PEOPLE. ROB AND ANGEL ARE THE PARENTS OF CHARLIE WHO'S LINK IS IN THE TOP CORNER OF MY BLOG. I WAS SO EXCITED TO FINALLY MEET THEM. IF YOU GET A CHANCE AND YOU HAVENT ALREADY, CHECK OUT HIS BLOG. HE IS A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE BOY WITH SOME REALLY GREAT PARENTS. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING CHARLIE'S STORY SINCE FEBRUARY AND SO IT WAS SO AWESOME TO MEET HIS PARENTS. SO I HOPE THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO GET SOME MUCH NEEDED TIME AWAY AND ENJOY THE SHOW!!

SO ENOUGH RAMBLING. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NOT QUITE CONVINCED OF HOW INSANELY CRAZY I AM KEEP CHECKING BACK I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING ALL MY TIM PICTURES TOGETHER THAT I HAVE TAKEN OVER THE YEARS (TEN TO BE EXACT) AND I WILL BE PUTTING THEM IN A SLIDESHOW. IF ANYTHING YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT JUST TO SEE THAT I REALLY HAVENT ALWAYS BEEN "FLUFFY," LIKE I AM NOW!!

NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL I THINK TIM IS. NO MATTER HOW OBSESSED I AM WITH HIM, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I KNOW THAT MY GIRLS ARE DEFINETLY MORE BEAUTIFUL AND I AM FAR MORE OBSESSED WITH THEM!!!
